Wooo what a week. Have you ever had one of those weeks when everything goes wrong. I ordered several things this week all of which have had to go back for various reasons.Including people just not reading what you asked for and sending you something totally different. I wonder what's the point sometimes I might as well just say here's my money send me anything you like cos you sure won't send me what I asked for.Guess I will just have to wait until I go somewhere to get my nestabilities now as that was one of the things I returned, which was supposed to be my birthday present from hubby. Yes another birthday another year older. I had lots of fab homemade cards I may just have to take some pictures and post them here. Didn't have a very exciting birthday as my baby (Toby the parrot) is sick so it was an emergency trip to the vets this morning. Now I'm £70.00 lighter in the pocket and none the wiser at the moment as to the problem other than he has gone off his food. Probably because we mentioned that word holiday to him. We are off to Paris in just over a week so I hope he recovers in time or he will be spending his holiday in the vets.
Anyway enough of my moaning and groaning one good thing this weeks was I won Friday Sketchers challenge last week yeah!!!!!!.
Now to this card. It's for two challenge the first at Sketch Saturday who are also celebrating their birthday on the same day as me. Is that a good omen I wonder? The second challenge is over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge whose challenge this week it Pink, Turquoise and a hint of brown.Stamp and sentiment are both from Stampin'up. Backing papers are from Cream Swirls from Pink Petticoat.

I haven't done the Friday Sketchers Challenge for a few weeks so thought it was about time to enter again. This was a very quick card as Tilda is one I had already coloured a couple of weeks ago.Backing paper is from Joanna Sheen Cottage garden. It came out a little paler than I intended as my printer cartridge has decided to run out but there you go nothing I can do about that until I get a new cartridge. Sentiment is from Stampin up.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend for those of you living in England where it's a bank holiday tomorrow.Hope the weather is as glorious as today.
Well it's been a busy old week what with one thing and another so I'm only just having time to catch up on things. I spent a lovely afternoon at my friend Val's on Wednesday after Calligraphy and had a very nice time on Friday evening meeting up with friends for a nice meal. I've been beavering away in the garden today so am feeling really tired now.So it was a nice surprise to look at my blog and discover that Mary at Some things from Gypsyrose had given me an award. Thank you Mary. Please check out her blog she is new to blogging.
I would like to pass this award on to all my followers. Firstly as a thank you for following my blog. Secondly an apology if I haven't checked out your blog I do like to visit them all when I have the time. However I have noticed that since the little window with all the followers changed recently I can no longer access people blogs by clicking on their picture as I used to if they had no link listed.I think that naughty Blogger has been up to something and upset all the settings.

Just a quick posting today. This is for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge No 32 which this week is all that GLITTERS.
This is a card I was commissioned to make a few weeks ago and can now safely place on my blog as the little girls birthday has now passed. It happens to fit with this weeks theme of glitter.I glittered the fairies wings and used glitter board on the right hand side.I kept it simple at the request was for a card with the little girls name on and a Fairy so I wanted to make these stand out more than anything else. The fairy is a die cut sheet from Lili of the Valley

Yes another card I don't know how I found the time I've been so busy out and about this week while Dave was away.
I discovered Dutch Dare Challenge Blog.after I had made this card. This is the first time I have entered this challenge but this card fits perfectly. The challenge is Blue, White and one other colour. The card is Navy blue although it looks black in the picture and my extra colour is red.Image is a Digi download from Charmed Crafts called Mikey

Well Dave has returned from his holiday in Gibraltar with the camera so I can take pictures once more.I have made a card which just happens to fit two challenges. The first is Papertake Weekly which is to have animals somewhere on your cards. The second challenge is over at Colour Create and the challenge this week is blue and green. There was an option extra of some paper piecing but that just didn't work with this cute stamp from Stamposaurus. It's another buy from Ally Pally a few weeks ago and this is his first airing.Sentiment stamp is from stampin'up.I made the flower using my scalloped punch and then placed a flower from Papermania into the middle. Backing paper is from Papermania Olive Essence.
This card is for the Creative Card Crew challenge which this week is Minimal. So this is it what more can I say. The paper is some I brought at Ally Pall. Sentiment was done on my pc.Have a good weekend everyone.
I have just received this lovely award from Ann. Ann is one very talent artist and crafter so please check out her blog and website.
Now for the hard part I have to pass this on to 5 people. There are so many people who deserve this award that brighten my day whenever I look at their blogs, but as I have to choose 5 then so be it. So
without further ado the are:-
Avril at Crafting in the shed at the bottom of my garden
Poppet at Poppet's Place
Nicola at Nicola's Creations
Janet at This and That
Jem at Jem's Crafting Blog

Wow another busy week where does the time fly. Had a fab time at my friend Gill's on Thursday making cards. The weather has been nice this weekend so I have been trying to do some gardening, notice I said trying.I manage half and hour here and there it's nice to be out in the fresh air now that it's warmed up.Half my garden is still out of bounds with the blackbird still sitting on her nest, hopefully they will hatch sometime this week.Hubby is getting ready for his little holiday to Gibraltar on Tuesday so I am thinking now what can a girl get up to when hubby is away? Well crafting of course what did you think I meant!!
This card if for Creative Card Crew challenge 9 which requires you to have embossing on your card so out came the trusty old Cuttlebug.
Image is a digital download from Charmed Crafts which I have sprayed with a fixative then water coloured. This is the first time I've used a fixative on printouts for my PC.I'm not sure that I've got the spraying right just yet. The first spray wasn't enough then I think I over did it as the finished article has come out a bit mottled but it does give his clothes a textured look.

Just time this week to squeeze in another card. This is for Friday Sketchers No 50. Hopefully I may get a bit more time next week for crafting as Hubby is off on holiday to Gibraltar for three days. No I didn't want to go with him before any of you ask .I have to say it is not my idea of a holiday to walk around Gibraltar several times and to go climbing in caves. Hopefully we will be able to go away together shortly though.
I believe the image is a Clarity stamp I'm not sure as I stamped it up at my friend Gill's sometime back now. Sentiment is from Sugar and Spice. Gingham paper is once again part of a download from Funky Fairy Papercrafts. The remaining paper I cannot remember where that come from sorry. The sky has gone rather dark here and looks like it is about to rain so apologies for the poor quality of the photo.

Well it's Bank holiday weekend and as usual on Bank holidays it's just started to rain so no gardening today. Not that I feel like it as I am in too much pain today and didn't get much sleep last night. My own fault as I went out on Thursday to Grand Designs Live at the Excel Centre with hubby, and then had friends to dinner on Saturday evening. So I've done too much in one go serves me right. The rain will also stop me being bombarded by a pair of blackbirds which have decided to take up residence in my holly bush and have spent a busy few days building a cosy nest and dive bombing anyone that gets near it. Anyway peeps enough of my ramblings I hope you are all having a great bank holiday with or without the rain.
This card is for Colour Create Challenge 14 whose challenge this week is Red, Cream and Chocolate with the optional extra of ribbons.
Chocolate and cream swirly paper is from a free download at Funky Fairy Inspiration. The gingham paper is a digital download from Funky Fairys Papercrafts. The stamp is young love from Sugar Nellie.
