Secret Crafter Challenge 20/Arty Girlz Challenge 74

Just a very quick and simple card which fits two challenges the sketch of Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge No 20.and the Butterfly theme of Arty Girlz Challenge no 74 I've promised myself I will try to go to bed early tonight as I have to be up early tomorrow to go to the Stitch & Craft show at Excel with my friends. By early I mean the correct side of midnight and not my normal 1.00 or 2.00 am. Not that I will sleep much as my head is still full of cold but at least I am feeling a lot better than earlier in the week.
Sorry I can't remember where the stamp came from. Striped paper was printed on my pc and the rest is chocolate chip. Butterfly corners are from Papermania.

Papertake Weekly Dawny' s Sketch 9

I've been feeling so bad with a cold I've not made any cards since Saturday. I felt so bad that today I did not go out and do my normal weekly two hours as a volunteer tutor of family history. I hope I will be well by Friday as I'm off to the Stitch and Craft show at Excel with some friends.
This card is for Papertake Weekly Dawny's sketch no 9 which I haven't found time to do for a while.
It also gave me a chance to use some of the blog candy from Heather which were the Tilda stamp and the sentiment.I glittered her wings which just about shows. The photo is not brilliant as once again it's gone midnight and not a great time to be taking photos, maybe I'll try taking a better one tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch

I can't believe it's Friday again. I've been so busy this week. Riverdance was great for the fifth time of seeing. Before the show we went to a Polish restaurant which was very nice and different. Dave had soured rye flour soup or something similar and it came in a huge bread bowl which was a round loaf of bread which had been scooped out in the middle, and that was only the starter. We brought the remainder of the loaf home wrapped in foil. I wonder if anyone wondered what the strange smell was in the theatre.
Anyway. today was like Christmas as the postie arrived with the blog candy I won over at Heather's blog, I can't believe I actually won. My hubby said I was like a kid at Christmas.Thank you so much Heather and thank you for the beautiful card too. I will have plenty of use for it all and I've always wanted to try parchment craft but never knew where to begin, now I do.If that wasn't enough the postie came again with some papers I had ordered as I'm trying to build up my crafting stash.Talk about a kid in a toy shop.
Enough of the ramblings this card is for Friday Sketcher No 40. Can't believe I've managed to do it so quickly but I loved the sketch. I also didn't feel like doing a lot as I was tired from yesterday and dear hubby has now given me his cold. One day I will be healthyish.Sorry can't remember where the stamp came from.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 39

Well just enough time today to do A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge which I haven't done for a while. I was looking at the sketch whilst talking to my friend Gill yesterday and we were talking about this little stamp. I know I've used it many times before but I thought it would look great with the leopard print backing paper. I'm a bit disappointed in how it has photographed as the bodice looks blue but is in fact a deep purple as is the glitter which looks pink but the light has obviously picked up on the twinkly bits. I don't have time to photograph again as were are off to London to see Riverdance once again. Dave my hubby loves Riverdance so I think today's performance will be the fifth time we have seen it.We are going early so we can have a nice meal before the show as we didn't go out on Valentines Day.
The stamp is from Clarity and the backing papers are from Pink Petticoat.

Sketch Saturday No 38

Just time for a quick card before I go to lunch with some friends.
Thank you all for your good wishes I am feeling a lot better now I have not had a migraine since last Thursday.
My friend Gill showed me a long time ago how to make this little ladybird from circles. It is so quick and easy to make and I have used it many times since.I have deliberately kept the papers plain to show off the little ladybird.

Making up for lost time 3 challenges in 1

I can't believe it's been a whole week since my last posting. What have I been up to, well not a lot. Once again I've have several migraines this week. I do seem to be suffering from a lot of them just lately which stops me doing a lot.On Tuesday we woke up to discover someone had stolen a very heavy concrete plant pot along with a tree from our front garden in the night. I also managed lunch with the girls on Tuesday. I won some candy over at Funky Fairy Inspirations this week which really cheered me up. Other than that all I've had the energy to do this week is to visit my friend Gill at Crafty Times on Thursday, where we had a great day making cards despite the migraine.
So to make up for time this card is for three challenges. Friday Sketchers No39 which was to follow a sketch. Daring Cardmakers challenge this week is to use Green. Arty Girlz challenege is to use flowers.
The stamp I used was from Sugar Nellie and is called Pen Pals.

Sketck Saturday No 37/One Stop Craft Shop

Jeanette has come up with a great sketch this week over at Sketch Saturday. It also fits neatly into the One Stop Craft Challenge which I have never done before. This weeks Challenge is Cirlces, so you have to have them on your card.
I haven't used this stamp in a while so thought I would give it an airing. It is from Hero Arts 'Doodle Leaf'. I have stamped it twice onto pink gingham paper then have cut them out. I then layered leaving the top petals loose for effect.I used chocolate chip paper and printed the pink gingham paper on my PC. The big bit of bling in the middle came from my friend Annie

Friday Sketcher No 38

I decided to stick to a simple fairly plain scheme for this card. I don't think my eyes could cope with to much jazzy paper at the moment.
The stamp is from Penny Black.I can't remember where the papers come from as they are scraps that I have had for a while. It took me ages to stick all the little stars on it was so fiddly but they do sparkle nicely.
Now I need to catch up on those lovely blogs that I haven't checked out for the last few days.

Genealogy is T-R-E-Erfic

This card is not for any challenge from a blog but one my friend Alan set me. Both of us are mad about genealogy so he challenged me to make a genealogy themed card. This is the result I couldn't think clearly again this week as I've had three migraines but I will not be beaten on a challenge, so this is the best I could come up with for now. Does the tree remind you of anything Alan? The photo doesn't really show the font I used to clearly but it is one called Pinewood and all the letters are like branches.Stamp is from Stampin'Up.
The snow is almost gone so hopefully I will be able to get out next week for some fresh air which will clear my head. I'm going to my friend Gill's next week so hopefully I will come home with more ideas.

Loads of Love

Well the snow is starting to melt at last. As much as I like looking at snow I hate going out in it, so once again I have stayed tucked up indoors apart from venturing to the bird table to feed the little critters.
Loads of Love is a multiple challenge entry. Somehow I managed to make a card that is suitable for four challenges.Firstly Charisma Cardz whose challenge this week is Black and White with one other colour of your choice.Papertake Weekly challenge is to use hearts, flowers or both.Funky Fairys first challenge is Valentine Lastly the new kid on the block Creative Inspirations their first challenge is Valentine but you must use black somewhere on the card.
The spotty paper is from Funky Fairy Inspirations Valentine set The lovely little lorry and sentiment are from Stampin'up.

Phew! now I'm going to have a rest and a cup of tea after all that work.

Friday Sketchers No 37

Oh no! it snowed this what greeted me when I opened the curtains this morning. It all looks very nice but I hate going out in the snow.

As it snowed it was just the excuse I needed to stay indoors and make another card using my new Sugar Nellie stamp. This is for Friday Sketchers no 37. Backing paper is from Kate Knights Aquamarine floral prints by Dovecraft. The flowers are punched from paint samples charts.
