Have you ever had one of those weeks when you wish it was over.My trip to Paris seems like a million years ago now.Toby is now back on form making a mess and being very vocal, although I am still a little concerned that he is not eating as well as he should. Maybe he just hasn't had the time to eat. On returning home today I counted 73 rolled up pieces of newspaper all over my lounge floor along with sweetcorn and split peas now I wonder who did that?We had planned some decorating this week but just as we were ready with paintbrush in hand we had had a telephone call to say my mother in law had been rushed into hospital. So we have been dashing backwards and forwards all week. Now today one of the hottest days and the air-conditioning on my car decides to packs up.
I am really missing not being able to make any cards while we are decorating. This is a card I made a few weeks ago and can now safely put on my blog as it was Millie's birthday yesterday. As I put her sisters on a few weeks ago it seems only fair to add Millie's too we all know what sisters can be like don't we.I am also entering for the Allsorts challenge blog. The challenge this week is wings which this card fits perfectly. This is also my first challenge at Allsorts Challenge blog but I am sure it will not be my last. Hopefully our study will be back to normal next week sometime and I can get on with crafting again.

Well I'm back from Paris and back into blogging can you believe nearly two weeks since I posted anything. Paris was great, it was good to finally meet Dave's cousin who he hasn't seen for nearly forty years. My little darling Toby(the Parrot) finally also came hope from the vets on Sunday after a week in animal hospital with possible metal poisoning, which may have been caused by a broken microchip.I think is he more or less back to normal apart from his appetite, but at least he is starting to eat something which is a huge relief. Now we just have to wait a few days to see if he puts on any weight if not it's back to the vets and no doubt another huge bill.I've had a very busy week since my return what with a card commission, calligraphy and going to see The King & I at the Royal Albert Hall which was fantastic.
Thought I would get in quick with a card for two challenges. First the sketch at Friday Sketchers no 57. Secondly over at Charisma Cardz the challenge is Diamonds. Hubby wants to paint the ceiling this weekend so the computer will have to disconnected and moved.Feeling in a bit of a girly mode at the moment must have been all that shopping in Paris, I wish!!. Image is digital download from Charmed Cards & Crafts. I have put glitter on her glass but it doesn't really show in the photo.

Well Toby is still in the vets and feeling very sorry for himself when I saw him today. We are still waiting for the blood tests to come to back which will hopefully identify the metal he has eaten. In the meantime I had a great time at Jackie's stamp camp on Sunday which my friend took me took and came home buzzing with all sorts of ideas. Not that I will get much time this week to do any more crafting as we are off to Paris to see hubby's cousin. This card is for Friday Sketchers Challenge No 55
Arthur the bear is from Sugar Nellie and has been sitting just waiting to be used since Ally Pally.
Have a good week everyone.

Well my mojo has definitely gone now my poor little parrot Toby is in the vets for five days. Then he can come home for five days and then has to go back for five days.Somehow he has got metal poisoning but for the life of us we do not know how as nothing has changed in 16 years. When he is allowed home we are supposed to be going to Paris and he was supposed to be going on his holiday now we do not know what is happening and are taking each day as it comes. The house is certainly very quite without him.
This is a card I made very quickly for a friend who had an operation today. It also fits into a new challenge blog Stampin' for the weekend. Their first challenge is purple and yellow.Image is from Stamposaurus.

I've lost my mojo a bit this week what with the parrot still being sick. After spending an hour trying to catch him to give him his medicine I am beginning to wonder if he has me on a piece of string. He seemed happy hanging upside down on the side of the cage knowing full well that there was no way on earth that I could get him. I won in the end but now I am worn out from the effort. Looks like he may have to go back to the vets if he doesn't eat soon and that won't be nice for him as he will be force fed.
Time for another Challenge over at Charisma Cards this time the the theme is Pink & Brown. This is one of my favourite colour combinations. The layout is one I've used many times before as it's so versatile. Image is from Stampin'Up - Summer by the sea. Backing paper is actually Pretty in Pink from Stampin'Up which ahs been run through my cuttlebug but the light was not too good when I photographed the card so it looks rather murky.
